Lens Toggle Privacy Tool - Ubuntu 12.04 precise pangolin

Lens Toggle (python-lenstoggler) is python-based apps comes with a very simple GUI. It allows you to quickly enable and disable the Lenses you have installed, including the default Applications, Files, Music, Video lenses and other lense. The application may be simple, but it’s very useful now that there are so many Unity lenses available.

Lens toggle is usefule Apps to Enable/Disable Unity Lense because By default Ubuntu does not offer any tools to activate or deactivate the Lenses. You should know, add more Unity lense, Unity Dash will require more resources from your system, and also became less responsive and quick when it started.

Currently, Lens Toggle only available for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Install Lens Toggle On Ubuntu 12.04 Precise pangolin

To install Lens Toggle in Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, use the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:aking1012-com/lenstoggle
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install python-lenstoggler

unity dash

When installation complete Go to Dash and search “Lens Toggler” open it disable/enable lenses and apply. Logout and login back to see the effect or restart unity by Press ALT+F2 the type “unity”
