rovclock is a useful command line tool to control GPU and memory clock speed of ATI Radeon graphics card. rovclock can use on laptops and PCs that using ATI Radeon graphics card.

if you installed rovclock on Laptop that installed ubuntu, it will reduce core and memory clocks to save energy and extend the life of laptop battery. caution: Use this utility at your own risk! We are not liable for any damage that this may cause to your system devices.

Install rovclock On ubuntu 11.10/12/04

rovclock available on ubuntu software repository, to install rovclock on ubuntu 11.10/12.04 open terminal and type these commands below:

sudo apt-get install rovclock

Usage rovclock

Before manipulating ATI Radeon graphics card frequency rates, get info about your graphics card using command below:

sudo rovclock  -i

if you want to change frequency rates GPU and memory, you can use this command:

sudo rovclock -c 200 -m 250 

the command above will be set GPU frequency core clock in 200 MHz and set memory clock in 250 MHz. For more information about rovclock you can refer to manual page by running command man rovclock.
