inSSIDer 2 is open-source software and award-winning Wi-Fi scanners

inSSIDer can scan any network (s) WIFI around your WiFi card / USB WiFi dongle and can track the signal strength from time to time – even if you are not connected to the wifinetwork. This tool can decide a computer that is connected to the wifi network so youcan join the wifi network

Feature inSSIDer 2 :

  • Sort results by Mac Address, SSID, Channel, RSSI and “Time Last Seen”
  • Inspect your WLAN and surrounding networks to troubleshoot competing access points
  • Track the strength of received signal in dBm over time
  • Filter access points in an easy-to-use format
  • Highlight access points for areas with high Wi-Fi concentration
  • Export Wi-Fi and GPS data to a KML file to view in Google Earth.
  • Filter through hundreds of scanned access points
